Residence Les Sources

Les Sources means sources in French and describes the place very well. The source runs by the houses and gives life to the vegetation. The lovely pool is the ideal place for complete relaxation for both adults and children.

“Residence Les Sources” was built in 1990 and consists of 42 two-story houses and the architecture completes the town and its architecture. Le Broc is placed on a mountain slope (450 metres above sea level) above the Var river by the coastal city of Nice and the magnificent Mercantour mountains. Until 1860 where the Var river was the border to Italy, Le Broc served as a defense and surveillance post – a typical village fortress.

From the 1900s where industrialization and tourism boomed in Nice and Cannes, created by the British aristocracy, the population of Le Broc moved to the coast like many other small village communities. In the early 1950s, the town is almost deserted and the school with only 9 students is forced to close.

Since then the area with the rural surroundings offers better quality of life, a harmonious coexistence with nature and improved living conditions. The town of Le Broc has grown and now has a population of 1400 and a school, and in 2012 a cultural centre with a concert hall, which seats 250 people, was built. The town has 3 restaurants, a Tabac shop and a grocer. Le Broc prides itself of a rich cultural life with weekly boule tournaments, a town fête every year in August, and in cooperation with the neighboring towns of Carros Village and Gatteries it offers a wide variety of classical French theatre, music and other forms of entertainment.

The climate in Le Broc, situated just 20 kilometers north of the pulsating Riviera, is magnificent: pleasant in the Spring/Autumn and not too hot in the Summer, plenty of fresh air and clean drinking water. Le Broc is the perfect place to hike in the mountains or bike on the Côte d’Azur and experience breathtaking nature.
